The English Football Association have confirmed Chelsea’s former manager, Thomas Tuchel as its coach of England ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The FA announced Thomas Tuchel’s news on its official website on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. According to reports released by the body, the German international will resume his role on January 1, 2025, and will be assisted by English international, Anthony Barry.
Thomas Tuchel’s impressive list of coaching honours includes league titles in France and Germany, twice with Paris Saint-Germain and most recently with Bayern Munich in the 2022-23 season, having won his first major trophy in 2017 when Borussia Dortmund lifted the German Cup.

Thomas Tuchel expressed his satisfaction on joining the English national team in his first interview at the club.

How long is Tuchel’s contract with England?
Tuchel’s contract will last for 18 months which is from January 2025 until after the 2026 World Cup.
