Chelsea are exploring a move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho and could reportedly propose a swap deal in a bid to land the ex-England international.
Sancho, 24, has been excluded from Man Utd’s matchday squad for both of their Premier League matches so far this season and he is expected to leave the club this week.
Borussia Dortmund were linked with a move at the start of the summer transfer window, but Juventus and Chelsea have recently emerged as his two most likely destinations.
Sky Sports’ Dhamesh Sheth has provided an update on the situation on X. He posted: “Chelsea & Juventus exploring deal for Manchester United Jadon Sancho. Juve want loan.
“It’s thought Chelsea proposal could include a player going the other way. United prefer permanent but loan not ruled out. Sancho travelled to Brighton but left out of squad.”
Ben Chilwell is reportedly liked by Man Utd, and could potentially be the player mentioned, while Raheem Sterling is among the players in Chelsea’s ‘Bomb Squad’ and may be of interest to the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are set for a busy end to the summer transfer window, with multiple players expected to leave Stamford Bridge before Deadline Day.
A deal has been agreed for Romelu Lukaku to join Napoli, while Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana are set to depart.
