Ruben Amorim, the new head coach of Manchester United, is by far the best manager in the world, according to former Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao.
Amorim departed Sporting CP for Manchester United on November 11, according to the DAILY POST.
Having played alongside the Portuguese tactician on both the national team and club level at Benfica, Coentrao believes the Reds Devils have finally found a solution to their coaching dilemma.
Coentrao said, through Alfredo Pedulla, that Amorim was the greatest manager in the world.
“Sporting have lost a very important player, but I am happy for Ruben. He deserves this and much more.
“Manchester United have found the best manager in the world… by far,” the former player said on the sidelines of an event.”
Among other achievements, Amorim has twice won the Portuguese first-division league title with Sporting.
After leading his former team for 11 games this season, the 39-year-old also departed them atop the league standings.
Coentrao’s views run counter to the general consensus that Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is the finest manager in the league.
