Due to visa-related issues, Manchester United’s new manager Ruben Amorim’s arrival has been delayed.
Amorim has not yet received his work permit, so even though the Portuguese’s contract technically started on Monday, he will not be returning to Carrington for training.
Club great Ruud Van Nistelrooy continues to lead the team after his victory over Leicester over the weekend, while supporters and commentators await Amorim’s arrival.
After 11 games, 39-year-old Amorim bid Sporting Lisbon farewell in their match against Braga, which concluded in a 4-2 victory, giving him a perfect record in the league this season.
He comes with his employees, and as of the time this article was filed, he had not made a decision on Nistelrooy’s inclusion in his managerial team.
International sports platforms report that Manchester United has indicated interest in acquiring Christopher Nkunku from The Blues amid the transfer period in January.
With 10 goals in his first 17 games for the Blues, Nkunku has been in outstanding form thus far. He will be Amorim’s first acquisition if the transaction is finalized.
According to sources, a number of teams have already started promoting Nkunku’s availability, even though he has not yet told Chelsea that he wants to leave.
According to reports, Chelsea might be willing to let the 26-year-old go in the upcoming season.
