The future of Victor Osimhen at Napoli has been chaotic in the last few days but the forward player has a lifeline as he could be heading to Galatasaray in the Turkish league.

The Nigerian international was linked to the Saudi Arabia club side, Al Ahli and Chelsea on the final day but he could not seal a move to either side due to transfer fee and wage structure respectively. Napoli confirmed over the weekend that Victor Osimhen will not be reintegrated back into the team after it was confirmed that he was not in the club’s plan for the season.

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Napoli have agreed on a loan deal with Galatasaray. According to him, the Turkish side will cover almost €10 million of his wages but they are not obligated to buy him at the end of the loan deal.

The delegates of Galatasaray have arrived in Italy to discuss personal terms with Victor Osimhen as they look to seal a deal before the end of the Turkish transfer window on September 13, 2024.

Sky Sports Italia also confirmed that Galatasaray’s decision to go in search of a striker was due to the injury to Mauro Icardi who could be out for a long time. The club is also open to the option of playing two strikers upfront when Icardi returns from injury.
