Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca has shown the world what he is capable of doing, as he wrote his name into the history book of the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca became the manager in the history of the league to see his side score six goals in an away Premier League match. The Italian achieved this feat in the league game at the Molineux against Wolverhampton Wanderers which was played on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
The game started like a house of fire when Nicolas Jackson scored the opening goal in the first 98 seconds of the match. Cunha got his team back into the game some minutes later after which Cole Palmer scored an outstanding goal to put Chelsea ahead again. However, Wolves had the last say in the first half when Strand Larsen got the equaliser.
Maresca’s half-time talk changed the narrative of the game as Noni Madueke scored his first senior hat-trick for the Blues in 14 minutes, all of which were assisted by Palmer. Chelsea’s new boys ( Pedro Neto and Joao Felix) combined to score the Blues sixth goal of the match.
Chelsea supporters will hope their team can continue with this performance when they face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
